Ecco gli imperdibili workshop del Festival 2018, per cui ​è necessaria prenotazione anticipata.

Occasioni uniche per sperimentare in prima persona lo Storytelling sotto la guida di maestri d'eccezione della scena internazionale, in esclusiva in Italia per il nostro Festival!

“INCANTARE CON LE PAROLE”

Workshop di Storytelling sulla mitologia Classica e Celtica

Un laboratorio di Storytelling condotto da due dei più quotati performer e maestri dello Storytelling Revival!

Un percorso alla scoperta del mito come radice d’identità culturale e delle modalità performative per riportarlo ad un pubblico contemporaneo attraverso lo Storytelling. Un viaggio nel tempo alla scoperta dei segreti dei racconti degli oratori romani e dei druidi celtici. Un'opportunità unica di scoprire e sperimentare le tecniche base della narrazione orale attraverso una serie di esercizi teorici e pratici sia di gruppo che individuali. Un’esplorazione alla scoperta di come incantare il pubblico attraverso le parole e creare immagini potenti nella mente degli ascoltatori.

Michael e Paola guideranno i partecipanti in un percorso alla riscoperta della mitologia come fonte inesauribile di ispirazione per ritrovare l'antico potere delle storie, apprendere l'arte di incantare con le parole e:

- iniziare o perfezionare il percorso come storyteller;

- migliorare le proprie capacità di public speaking;

- implementare le proprie abilità di comunicazione;

- imparare a trasmettere messaggi attraverso il potente strumento della metafora;

- riscoprire il potere del mito per riconnettersi con la propria identità e cultura;

- ritrovare la saggezza, il divertimento, i valori universali e il potere "sacro" che le storie dei nostri antenati sono riuscite a preservare fino a noi       attraverso i secoli;

Il programma si incentrerà sullo studio di materiale appartenente sia alla mitologia classica che alla mitologia celtica.

Storytelling workshop on Classic and Celtic mythology

A Storytelling workshop led by two leading professional performers and workshop leaders of the Storytelling Revival!

A journey to the discovery of myths as roots of people cultural identity and a path to unreval ways to deliver them to a contemporary audience. A travel across time digging for the secrets of Roman orators and Celtic druids. A unique opportunity to discover and experience the basic techniques of oral Storytelling through a series of practical group and one to one exercises. Come and learn how to enchant your audience with your words and how to create powerful images in your listeners' mind.

Michael and Paola will lead you on a journey at the discovery of myths as live source of never ending inspiration to unrevel the power of ancient stories and:

- start or improve your journey as a storyteller;

- improve your public speaking abilities;

- improve your communication skills;

- learn how to pass on a message with the powerful tool of metaphor;

- discover the power of myth to connect with one's culture and identity;

- find out the wisdom, fun and universal values and sacred power that our ancestors stories have preserved for us across the centuries.

The programme will focus on mythological material from both the Classic and the Celtic tradition.

“C’ERA UNA VOLTA TA-KA-DHI-MI”

Lo Storytelling incontra la Danza Classica Indiana

 

con Shereen Saif (India/Dubai)

 

Sabato 16 e Domenica 17 Giugno - ore 14.00-16.00  oppure   Sabato 23 e Domenica 24 Giugno - ore 14.00-16.00

 

Un laboratorio per scoprire la possibilità di usare elementi di Danza Classica Indiana per dare un tocco originale al proprio stile di Storytelling. Il laboratorio sarà tenuto dalla danzatrice, attrice e Storyteller Shereen Saif che introdurrà i partecipanti ai principi fondamentali della Danza Classica Indiana e al magico mondo della Mitologia Indiana. Attraverso una serie di esercizi pratici i partecipanti esploreranno come integrare gesti, movimento e ritmo esercitandosi sulle storie della tradizione Indiana.

 

Struttura del laboratorio:

 

1a giornata

- Introduzione alla danza classica indiana: cenni storici e concetti fondamentali;

- Dimostrazione di un pezzo di danza classica tradizionale indiana: Shiva Panchakshari Stotram (Ode a Shiva);

- Introduzione agli “strumenti di lavoro” della danza classica indiana:

- parlare con gli occhi

- gestualità della mano (mudras)

- ritmo

- lavoro con i piedi

- Analisi della storia “Come Ganesha ottenne la sua testa di elefante”: dimostrazione di come elementi di danza classica indiana posso essere integrati con lo Storytelling;

- La scatola delle storie della mitologia indiana: ogni gruppo di partecipanti sceglierà una storia su cui lavorare nella seconda giornata.

 

2a giornata

- Riscaldamento e ripasso degli “strumenti di lavoro”;

- Costruzione della storia: i partecipanti lavoreranno sulla struttura delle storie mitiche selezionate (inizio-sviluppo-fine), sperimentando su ogni singola sezione con gli elementi di danza classica indiana presi in esame come “strumenti di lavoro”;

- Condivisione dei risultati.

“ONCE UPONE A TA-KA-DHI-MI”

When Storytelling meets Indian Classical Dance

 

with Shereen Saif (India/Dubai)

 

Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th of June - time 2.00pm-4.00pm or  Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th of June - time 2.00pm-4.00pm

 

Discover the possibilities of using elements of Indian classical dance to give your storytelling a new twist. The workshop led by Indian dancer, actor and storyteller Shereen Saif, storytellers will be introduced to the fundamentals of Indian classical dance and the magical world of Indian mythology. Through practical exercises, participants will explore ways to integrate gesture, movement and rhythm to tell stories rooted in the Indian tradition.

 

Workshop Structure:

 

Day 1

 ▪ Introduction to Indian Classical Dance: a brief history and fundamental concepts;

 ▪ Demonstration of a traditional Indian classical piece: Shiva Panchakshari Stotram (ode to Shiva);

 ▪ Introduction to the Indian classical dance toolkit:

 ▪ speaking with the eyes

 ▪ hand gestures (mudras)

 ▪ rhythm

 ▪ footwork

 ▪ How Ganesha got his elephant head: a demonstration of how Indian classical dance elements can be      integrated into storytelling;

 ▪ Indian mythology story box: participants (in groups of 3) select a story to work on for Day 2.

 

Day 2

 ▪ Warm Up and review of toolkit;

 ▪ Story Crafting: selected Indian mythological stories are broken into beginning-middle-end and individuals    members of the group work on the separate sections experimenting with the newly introduced Indian      classical dance toolkit to tell the story;

 ▪ Sharing of the work in progress.

Un laboratorio di/sullo Storytelling applicato alla didattica

Il nostro cervello è cablato per le storie. Che tu sia uno Storyteller desideroso di lavorare nelle scuole, un insegnante che vorrebbe riuscire ad imprimere lezioni durature o un genitore interessato ad incoraggiare le capacità letterarie di tuo figlio, questo workshop è per te! Vieni a scoprire perché lo Storytelling è così importante per l'educazione dei nostri giovani e come puoi usare lo Storytelling ogni giorno per accrescere l'interesse e costruire un senso di comunità. Si parlerà e si sperimenterà  anche l'utilizzo dello Storytelling in classe come supporto all'insegnamento di tutte le materie, dalla scienza alla storia. I partecipanti usciranno dal workshop con una lista di attività di Storytelling e teatrali pronte per essere applicate.

A workshop about Storytelling applied to education

Our brains are wired for story. Whether you are a storyteller looking to work in the schools, a teacher wanting to make your lessons last, or a parent wanting to build your child's literacy skills, this workshop is for you! Come and learn why storytelling is so vital to educating our youth and how you can use storytelling every day to increase engagement and build community. We will also discuss and practice ways to bring storytelling into the classroom to teach everything from science to history. You will leave with basic storytelling and creative drama activities you can do tomorrow.

“MUSIC-TELLING”

Laboratorio internazionale specialistico incentrato sull'utilizzo della musica,

il suono e il ritmo nell'arte del racconto orale

 

con Davide Bardi (Italia), Anders Peev e Johan Theodorsson (Svezia)

 

Domenica 24 Giugno - orario 10.00-13.00 / 14.00-16.00

 

I gesti aiutano la comprensione, le parole veicolano significato, ma la musica dice tutto. Essa comincia dove le parole si fermano. La musica racconta e spinge a raccontare. Il laboratorio si focalizza sullo studio della musica nelle storie e sull'importanza della ricerca di una specifica musicalità nel racconto.

Durante il laboratorio verrà esplorato attraverso esercizi pratici il mondo della musica collegato allo storytelling e "cosa" può essere considerato "musica". Nello specifico sarà trattato:

come prendere ispirazione dalla musica nella creazione di una storia;

come trovare la giusta musica per una storia;

come creare il giusto mood per una storia lavorando sulla musica;

come "mixare" musica e racconto nella costruzione di una performance di Storytelling.

 

Ad ogni partecipante è richiesto di portare una storia su cui lavorare e chiunque possegga uno strumento di qualsiasi tipologia, è invitato a portarlo con sé (non è richiesto di essere musicisti o di possedere uno strumento per partecipare al laboratorio).

“MUSIC-TELLING”

International workshop focused on the use of music,

sound and rhythm in Storytelling

 

with Davide Bardi (Italy), Anders Peev and Johan Theodorsson (Sweden)

 

Sunday 24th of June - time 10.00am-1.00pm / 2.00pm–4.00pm

 

Body language helps understanding, words carry meaning but music says it all. It begins where words stop. Music tells and encourages to tell. The workshop will focus on music in stories and the importance of researching a specific musicality for the telling. During the workshop we will explore through practical exercises the world of music associated with storytelling and the all possible meanings of the word “music”. The programme will touch the following topics:

- how get inspired by a music in the creation of a story;

- how to find the right music for a story;

- how to create the right mood for a story working with a music and getting inspired by it;

- how to mix music and telling in the preparation of a storytelling performance.

It is required to prepare beforehand a story to work on and anyone who owns an instrument is invited to carry it a long (any kind of instrument). Although, no need to be a musician or to possess an instrument to take part in the workshop.
