Where is the 2011 edition of the Festival going to be held?

All the storytelling performances and workshops will be held at “Parco Regionale dell’Appia Antica” – via Appia Antica 42, Roma. You can reach the Festival site by bus (number 218 from San Giovanni or 118 leaving from Piramide tube station – approximately 15 – 20 minutes in normal traffic conditions) or by car (see map), parking available.

How much do tickets cost?

The storytelling performance for adults cost between 5 and 10 €, whereas the cost of the shows for children is 5 €. If you wish to take part to more than one event, read the following question!

Is there a pass for the whole Festival?

Of course! Two different passes are available: shows only (you can take part to all the shows of the Festival) at 50 €, or shows + workshops at 100 €. Passes can be bought at the beginning of the Festival or before any of the shows / workshops.

What is the official language of the Festival?

Italian tellers will tell in Italian, foeigners in English. Have a look at the programme for the details of the performance you are interested in!

Can I download a printable version of the programme?

Sure, follow this link for the pdf version of the programme.

Is there any show for children?

Yes! Details will be available in English soon!

Where can I ask for further informations on the Festival?

Do I need to book to take part to workshops or to watch shows?

Shows are operated on a first come first served basis, so there is no need to pre-book a place for the shows. To guarantee a good outcome of the workshops, only people who booked in advance are allowed to take part to them. Drop an e-mail to raccontamiunastoria@yahoo.it to book your workshop(s)!

I am not an actor: can I join a workshop?

Yes!! There are no requirements as far as theatre background is concerned.

What if it rains?

We strongly hope it doesn’t as the Appian park outdoor scenary is astonishing, but if it does rain, the outdoor events will be performed indoor (via Appia Antica, 42).

Is there any hotel special deal for the Festival?

Yes, we agreed a special price with a number of hotels for the period of the Festival, go to the “Festival Life” page to know more.

Who can ask info to during the Festival?

You can have a chat to any of the volunteers that are helping with the organization of the Festival: no doubt they have the answer you are looking for!
