Raccontamiunastoria is the first Storytelling Company and Community in Italy, and delegate at the F.E.S.T (Federation of European Story Tellers). It was founded by Paola Balbi, Angela Sajeva and Giulia Troiano to experiment with the art of storytelling in Italy.
The Company Raccontamiunastoria is proud to run all its activities with the traditional method of oral storytelling.
All the original stories created after the Company researches are not written and therefore, although maintaining the same shape, words will continue to change at each performance.
Even when re-telling traditional folk stories or making up new stories, the tellers of Raccontamiunastoria never learn their texts by heart, but enjoy always taking the effort to live a new and true journey through unique words and feelings at each performance, using each story as an emotional bridge to convey images from the teller to the listeners.
Storytelling embodies the oldest and truest soul of every performing art, it’s the most powerful mean to pass something to somebody, in order not to lose it, not to let it die…but letting it grow, breathe and live for ever.
Every story is a gift that gets more and more precious every time it is donated form someone to someone else.
